This Privacy Policy explains how DPM876 Studios Limited (“DPM876”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the DPM Adaptive Button Box Android application (package com.dpm.adaptivebb, the “App”) and the optional DPM Agent companion software for Windows PCs. DPM is a companion app for a simulation PC running the DPM Agent — it pairs with software you run on your own computer over your local network, and does not function as a standalone product.
The App is developed and operated by DPM876 Studios Limited. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@dpm876.app. DPM876 Studios Limited is the data controller for the limited processing described in this policy.
The App is designed to function without user accounts and without collecting personal profiles. The categories of information involved are:
DPM's core purpose is to display live telemetry from your racing simulator and to send button and control inputs back to your PC. This data flows directly between the App and the DPM Agent on your own computer, over your own Wi-Fi/local network, using a direct connection discovered on your network.
On the first connection, the Agent displays a one-time pairing code. After you enter that code in the App, each device stores a credential locally so it can authenticate automatically on later connections. The Agent shows connected/trusted devices and lets you disconnect and revoke them. Pairing codes and device credentials are not transmitted to DPM876.
Local control traffic can include button-box commands, keyboard input, mouse/touchpad movement and clicks, game launch/close requests, system volume and mute, HDR, Xbox Game Bar, and configured recording shortcuts. These actions occur only after the Android device has authenticated with the Agent.
Telemetry, pairing, and control traffic are not transmitted to DPM876, not routed through our servers, and not stored by us. They exist only on your devices and local network while you use the products. App layouts and preferences are likewise stored locally.
DPM Agent can optionally keep its Command Map synchronized with supported local game files:
controls.json file.The Agent asks for permission separately for each game before it first manages that game's file. If you choose Not now, DPM does not save the requested binding changes or modify the game file. If you choose Allow, the Agent first creates a local backup of the original file, then may read and update the relevant keyboard-binding entries when you save or reset the Command Map. For ACC, the Agent may also reapply your approved DPM bindings if ACC later replaces controls.json after a preset or in-game controls change.
These files and backups remain on your PC and are never uploaded to DPM876. You can use Restore Original Keyboard File in DPM Agent to restore the pre-DPM backup and revoke that game's permission. DPM also launches or closes a supported game only when you request that action through the Agent or a paired Android device.
DPM Agent creates diagnostic logs locally on your PC to help you troubleshoot connections and supported games. These logs are not automatically transmitted to DPM876. The App and Agent do not currently include automatic crash reporting or analytics, and we do not remotely collect crash logs, device information, or diagnostic data.
If you choose to send a log or diagnostic file to our support address, we use it only to respond to your support request. Review it before sending because game or network diagnostics can contain technical details such as local IP addresses, device names, file paths, or game/session information. If we add an optional in-product reporting feature later, we will update this policy before enabling it.
The App offers an optional one-time purchase, DPM Pro, sold through Google Play Billing. All payments are processed by Google — we never receive or store your card number, billing address, or other payment details. Google provides us with your purchase status (whether the DPM Pro unlock is owned) so the App can enable the corresponding features. Your entitlement is tied to your Google Play account, so a single purchase unlocks Pro on the devices signed in to that account. Google's handling of your payment is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
To deliver the App and its content, the App makes a small number of outbound requests:
We do not use these requests to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with any other information to identify you.
The App requests only the permissions needed to function, primarily network access to discover and communicate with DPM Agent on your local network and to fetch updates and media. DPM Agent uses Windows network access to receive authenticated local connections and uses standard Windows input and process functions when you request PC, game, or launcher actions. Optional game-file access is governed by the per-game consent described in §4.
The App does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or other sensitive personal data. Android and Windows may show system prompts for network or other protected functions; you can review and change permissions in your device or operating-system settings.
We do not sell your data. The only third parties involved are service providers that make the App work, and only for that purpose:

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
We do not currently collect telemetry, diagnostic, pairing, command, or account data, so there is nothing of those kinds for us to retain on our servers. Purchase records associated with Google Play are retained by Google under its own policies.
On your own devices, the App and Agent retain settings needed to provide the features you choose. These can include layouts, preferences, trusted-device credentials, diagnostic logs, game-binding consent choices, and local original/managed game-file backups. They remain until you revoke a device, restore a game file, clear the app's data, delete the relevant local files, or uninstall the product, subject to your operating system's normal backup and uninstall behavior.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws — including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we do not currently hold any information about you, most such requests will simply confirm that nothing is on file. To make a request, email support@dpm876.app. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
The App is a sim-racing utility intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information involved. DPM Agent requires one-time code pairing and authenticates trusted devices on later connections. Telemetry, credentials, settings, and optional game-file backups remain on your own devices and local network. You should use DPM on a trusted private network and revoke any device you no longer recognize or use. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect information appropriately for its sensitivity.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and, for significant changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
